GOP daring Democrats to kill the filibuster. Her health-scare story demands Medicare for All. More.
Republicans are using their standard playbook. Killing the filibuster is the only responsible thing for Democrats to do. Insanity is doing the same thing over & over and expecting a different result.

Republicans are begging us to kill the filibuster. This is why we better listen.
Republicans are so used to Democrats caving to their obstruction that they think it will drive us to a 2022 defeat. Kill the filibuster.
As I watched the news all day today, I wondered why it was so difficult for Democrats to get the nation's job done. If Democrats are who Democrats say they are, Republicans handed them the opportunity to do the things Americans say they want. We do not have to filter it through their benefactors.
According to a recent poll, Americans will blame Democrats for a government shutdown. I am sure they will blame us for any lame bills we were to pass that do not make the monumental type of change most Americans want.
Killing the filibuster allows us to build back better truly. More importantly, it ensures several cycles worth of victories. Why? Because we will drill the truth into the minds of Americans. Electing Republicans means taking away their earned benefits, the modus operandi of Republican orthodoxy.
Killing the filibuster has another substantial benefit. Our purchased Democrats can no longer hide behind Republican obstruction. They cannot use it as cover. Republicans have now made it untenable not to kill the filibuster.
DEMOCRATS!!!! What are you waiting for?

This MSNBC Host, Tiffany Cross health-scare story is a testament to the need for Medicare for All.
Tiffany Cross did what many should; tell their health-scare stories. Hers is one many women suffer, especially those without insurance.
I had a 3-hour KPFT 90.1 FM Houston programmers meeting this morning, so I could not watch my two favorite Saturday morning news stars, Tiffany Cross and Ali Velshi. I watched the Cross Connection immediately after the meeting. I hate watching taped programs because it generally means I am behind unless the programs I taping play the same time as another.
I was pleasantly surprised deep into her show when she said she had a personal medical story to tell. That immediately got my attention. After all, I am a Medicare for All advocate. All healthcare stories get my immediate attention. I must say, her story as she told it was much more riveting than I expected.
Her story, in a nutshell, was that even as she worked several jobs up to a year ago, she had no insurance. She needed surgery and thought she could use her savings until she found out it would cost tens of thousands of dollars. She got Obamacare just in time. Because Obamacafrfe could not deny her for preexisting conditions, she was able to have the surgery.
I wrote a blog post a few years ago when Obamacare, the Affordable Care Act, went into effect. Even though I always had insurance, I was reluctant to do too many tests for fear of establishing preexisting conditions.
It is shameful that in America, one who needs healthcare must first think dollars before their health well-being.

Anti-vaxxers & Anti-maskers at board meetings. Yes! They are this crazy!
Exposing the anti-social behavior of anti-vaxxers & anti-maskers to the light should give their sympathizers pause.
This behavior is so sad and idiotic that it is hard to believe it is real. I could not stop laughing for a while. And then I abruptly stopped. It is not a laughing matter. Anti-vaxxers and anti-maskers are a clear and present danger.
These poor souls are so gullible that they really believe their indoctrination at the expense of fact-based data and reality. One has to ask what wiring in their minds led to such an eventuality.
Unfortunately, it is clear that this is metastasize-able behavior for the susceptible. And it is these people who most oppose mandates that mandates save. They think they are losing their freedom when the reality is they are inhibiting their own liberty and potentially infringing on the freedom of others.
So after getting a laugh, take a pause and realize that these folks are a danger to us all.
CBS’ The Activist pitting activists against each other begging for funds show this system’s cancer.
The proposed CBS program 'The Activist' pitting activists against each other to entertain does not serve the issue they are fighting for but enriches the few once again.
The show was described as follows.
Activists go head-to-head in challenges to promote their causes, with their success measured via online engagement, social metrics, and hosts’ input. The three teams have one ultimate goal: to create impactful movements that amplify their message, drive action, and advance them to the G20 Summit in Rome, Italy. There, they will meet with world leaders in the hope of securing funding and awareness for their causes. The team that receives the largest commitment is celebrated as the overall winner at the finale, which will also feature musical performances by some of the world’s most passionate artists.
The series is produced by Global Citizen — the international education and advocacy organization working to catalyze the movement to end extreme poverty that produced the recent Vax Live: A Concert to Reunite the World — CBS and Deviant Media.
“The Activist is a first-of-its-kind competition series that will inspire real change, as the series progresses from the United States to Rome for the Activists’ final challenge at the G20,” said Hugh Evans, CEO and co-founder of Global Citizen. “The audience will see the Activists’ passion and commitment for their causes tested as they petition world leaders to take urgent action to resolve the interconnected crises we face.”
One tweet from Naomi Klein says it all.
I'm confused: Is this an advanced Marxist critique to expose how competition for money and attention pits activists against each other + undermines deep change? Or just the end of the world?
I think they got the message.
