Notes
The economy is creating jobs at the fastest pace ever. More importantly, we also have considerable wage growth. Both mainstream and Right-Wing media's narrative is that high inflation eats away all of that wage growth. That is a false narrative.
Let’s start with economics 101, which even the mainstream economists fail. Everyone seems to be parroting from the same manual that absolves corporations. They blame the government or even other unexpected reasons.
We get into these cycles because “the many” pay for the mistakes and greed of the wealthy ruling class. This notion is not some Left-Wing message. It is a common-sense message. We are all intelligent but susceptible to brainwashing. Let me digress from the core message to give an example.
Those who promote a rationale to object to Medicare-for-All ask you to believe mathematical impossibilities. (1) Doctors’ offices and hospitals work through a maze of different insurance companies to get paid are more efficient than submitting one bill, even though each side of the former requires a large staff. (2) Paying duplicate executives, marketing, computer systems, and real estate are less expensive than one set of executives, virtually no marketing, one computer system. Or that the current system where insurance companies dictate your doctor, hospital, & drugs is somehow a choice. In contrast, Medicare-for-All, where you and your doctor make all the decisions, is a government take over of healthcare.
The same is occurring with today’s inflation. Let me state categorically and mathematically. A corporation that made high profits before the recent onset of inflation with the related supply-chain problems and enhanced demands is raising prices by choice and not necessarily market forces. Let me correct that. Our economic system allows them to gouge. Those with pricing power can charge whatever the market will bear. And if they give you a raise, the market can bear more to allow them to take it all back. It is by design, and we tolerate it. We will enable them to blame government and external forces for their shortcomings and greed as inflation explode their profit margins.
These corporations are responsible for the supply-chain problems because they chose greed (cheap overseas labor) and just-in-time inventory. It does not take rocket science to understand that those two acts are mutually exclusive in an unstable world caused by wars, pandemics, and human-inspired natural disasters. The thing is, their corporate greed prevents them from supporting governmental solutions to mitigate the instability. There is no shortage of products and labor to justify the inflation rate. And let’s not forget the labor force at the southern border that wants an opportunity to work, not conquer.
We must all educate ourselves and not fall for the well-designed brainwashing corporate-funded think tanks. I have committed my life to inform, to be one of many trying to counter these narratives that ultimately lead us to indentured servitude. We can only win elections if we effectively communicate these truths in a bread and butter manner that connect these issues to the appropriate candidate and their natural constituency. We can do this. We can learn history to avoid insanity. Here’s how Democrats win the 2022 midterm election. Be on the offensive now.
Democrats should stop buying the narrative and learn from history. History only repeats itself if one does not learn from it.
President Biden recently gave a speech after the March Jobs Report came out. While he touted the astounding numbers, he reminded Americans that he was cleaning up a big mess left by Trump and the Republicans. The Republican economic catastrophes seem to be a pattern. After all, Democratic presidents always seem to come into the presidency to clean up the mess created by a party coalesced around voodoo economics since Reagan.
The Right is much better at marketing terrible economic and social ideas than Democrats are at marketing proven good economic and social ideas. Matthew Dowd returned to his roots after doing a stint as a Republican. He is someone who remembers all the tricks that one must play on the psyche of the many Americans that will have them vote for the crop of Republicans, a vote against one’s interests. He knows that the task is mathematically doable in an undemocratic country like America, where a minority of votes in smaller Red States have more electoral value than those in the Blue States.
MSNBC Host Chris Jansing asked Matthew Dowd if the GOP decision to make the soft-on-crime moniker their 2022 election talking would work. He used the question as a segue to give Democrats some sound advice.
“It’s only going to be effective if Democrats let it be effective because, as Mark just alluded to, the President of the United States doesn’t support defunding of police,” Matthew Dowd said. “No U.S. Senate candidates running in 2020 and 2022 support defunding the police and not a single congressional candidate [Democratic] running in a swing district.”
Dowd then gave the talking points Democrats should work on right away.
“In my view, the Democrats should go out a list of other issues on that list, which is Roe versus Wade, overwhelmingly supported by swing voters and Democrats prescription drug relief overwhelmingly,” Dowd said. “Who won the election? Overwhelmingly supported by all voters and in swing voters and Democrats in the course of the election.”
Dowd then suggests that pollsters needed to add a critical question when polling Americans.
“One thing I will add that I hope we add in future polls, which is the issue I would run on as a Democrat is,” Dowd added. Who’s going to protect democracy and voting rights? And that’s the issue. If I were Democrats, that’s what I would run on. I would not go at a Republican talking point on defunding police because it has nothing to do with the establishment of the Democratic Party.”
“I would go at the big issues they have an advantage on,” Dowd said.
While I do not know if I am in solid agreement to directly include social issues like abortion, I get his point. Enough women may realize the troglodytes are vying to take control of their bodies. It may even get some Republican votes which put their absolute freedom over an ideology devoid of humaneness.

Darius Kamali discusses identity politics, woke-ness, Ukraine, and much more.
Darius Kamali is a former analyst with the State Department-supported International Monitor Institute, the visual evidence wing for several tribunals on war crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocide. He transitioned to political documentary, then to television and feature animation producing in Hollywood, as executive producer on a number of movies. Recently the global pandemic provided the opportunity and catalyst for Kamali to return to his roots and his passion with two genre-bending, timely, thought-provoking, and critically acclaimed books; Mistake of Identity and Dog Whistling Dixie Past the Graveyard.
Mistake of Identity is a genre-bending collection of short musings, at once worldly and idealistic, hardboiled and spiritual. It combines the conventions of the social media post with the traditions of the philosophical aphorism, and eastern wisdom literature. The book consists of a series of concise, often witty, sometimes dark, counterintuitive, even contrarian thoughts that boldly tread our contemporary sociopolitical fault lines. It playfully uses parody and paradox to pry past the surface of the political trope. And it searches for a truth that lies deeper than either the ideological talking point or hackneyed partisan convention.
Dog Whistling Dixie Past The Graveyard is a collection of dark poems of ironic, paradoxical reflections of varied length on the ephemeral and ever-present shadow of identity. It combines the deeply personal with the broadly social, and gnostic insight with political polemic. The book reflects the unconscious and fractured nature of the individual self in our socially fraught and uncertain times. It also offers glimpses of a spiritual, post-identity-based path forward.
Listen to the entire interview with Darius Kamali. Those who listened to it live loved it and thought the dialogue was a good start.
WOW! Morning Joe & Gene Robinson destroys Bob Woodward’s Left/Right false equivalence in epic form.
Bob Woodward attempted to create a false equivalence between the GOP and the Left. Gene Robinson & Joe Scarborough nailed him for the silly statement.
It is often depressing to watch the mainstream media news because they leave so much information out there from those who would mislead in subtle ways. I could not have been more proud of Gene Robinson and Joe Scarborough recently as esteemed journalist Bob Woodward made the most asinine comment.
Joe Scarborough was discussing the fact that Republican politicians continue to play victims. He said they like to call liberals elitists, even though they are privy to Ivy League education and lives. It is an act. He was paraphrasing a statement from Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas’ wife, Virginia Thomas. This commentary from the New York Times is probative.
Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas’ wife floated an outlandish conspiracy that members of the “Biden crime family” and “ballot fraud co-conspirators” were being sent to barges off of Guantánamo Bay to face military trials for sedition in newly-uncovered text messages with former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows.
Virginia “Ginni” Thomas, a longtime conservative activist, texted Meadows in the days after the 2020 election, according to the messages obtained by the House Committee investigating January 6 and reported on by the Washington Post’s Bob Woodward and CBS News’ Robert Costa.
“Biden crime family & ballot fraud co-conspirators (elected officials, bureaucrats, social media censorship mongers, fake stream media reporters, etc) are being arrested & detained for ballot fraud right now & over coming days, & will be living in barges off GITMO to face military tribunals for sedition,” Thomas wrote in a message on November 5, 2020, two days after the presidential election, according to the Post.
“These two are the elites,” Joe Scarborough said. “They are at the center of power. If anybody is at the center of power and she’s throwing out that victimhood. Isn’t that so representative of what Republicans have been building for years? They play victims when they’re the ones in most firmly ensconced in power after going to Yale and Stanford. If you look at this, these senators and Princeton and Harvard and on and on and on, it’s such a phony populist game.”
Bob Woodward’s answer was disappointing that he had to stop midstream as he saw Gene Robinson’s disapproval.
“The evidence is there in these texts,” Woodward said before starting his false equivalence attempt. “But I think we just have to pull back, or at least I personally as a reporter on this and say it’s not just the Right. There is a lot of this kind of emotional ‘there is only one way to look at this,’ from the Left. And if we as a country have to face that.”
Gene Robinson off-camera must have been in convulsions because he got Woodward’s attention midstream and said, “You disagree.”
And, of course, Robinson did.
“Well, I’m done,” Robinson said. “You’re getting a skeptical look because I guess there are extreme voices on the Left. I don’t think this is Right, or this is a need for balance. I don’t think this is. I think because what you saw was the Republican Party writ large basically losing its mind, but going and becoming a Trumpist party and adopting positions that establishment Republicans were horrified by.”
Joe Scarborough then joined to remove the false equivalence Woodward was trying to establish hypocritically.
“There is that is a false equivalency,” Scarborough said. “I do not see leaders of the Democratic Party saying Biden, crime, family and ballot fraud, coconspirators elected are going to be put on a barge, bureaucrat’s social media censorship, ensuring their reporters are being arrested and detained for ballot fraud right now. And over the coming days, says the wife of a Supreme Court justice to the chief of staff of a Republican president who is trying to defraud the American people. And steal the presidency and will be living in barges off Gitmo to face military tribunals for sedition.”
WOW! No. Though it seems that Progressives could reasonably accurately say that without worrying about it being a lie. This “roasting” was an excellent pushback against an outstanding journalist gone rogue with reality.
