2026 Texas Democratic Primary Recommendations
I have been getting calls all day asking for recommendations for candidates. Our ballot is about 7 pages long. I decided to ask my good friend, who is heavily involved in local politics, to provide me with a vetted list. Following is the list. Print it out and carry it to your voting location.
Authoritarians flood the zone, burying truth under noise while corporate media bends or breaks. The partial dismantling of The Washington Post’s newsroom and CBS’s loss of editorial independence show how vulnerable legacy outlets have become. When powerful interests pressure newsrooms, truth suffers. Independent media cuts through the chaos and holds power accountable. This newsletter delivers clear, progressive analysis as democracy faces coordinated attack. Unlike corporate outlets tied to billionaires and advertisers, independent journalism relies on readers. A paid subscription sustains uncompromised reporting and strengthens a media ecosystem legacy institutions increasingly fail to provide. Supporting this work is civic action—an investment in truth and democracy.
