Talk to the other side; it's worth it. Republican Party indulging its crazies is fatal. Register: Ask Egberto Anything
Conversations with two Right-Wingers show message discipline but a lack of deep critical thought because of its shallowness. It has proved fatal to many, even as it is clear we have much in common.

Conversation w/Black Right-Wing Pastor Stephen Broden who thinks Democrats are duping Black people.
I enjoyed speaking with Pastor Stephen Broden, even as it saddened me that a person with such a platform and raw intellect has the potential to cause such harm.
Stephen Broden is a former Republican political candidate from Texas in the 30th congressional district for the United States House of Representatives. Broden graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor and a Master of Arts degree in Communication. He later studied at the Dallas Theological Seminary, where he received a Master of Arts in Bible Studies. Broden advocates in the Fair Park and South Dallas areas for economic opportunity, improved access to education, and against abortion. He is a spokesman for the black pro-life movement in Dallas. He is a founder of Ebony Berean, an organization whose mission includes informing African-American Pastors of the “Culture War.”
Pastor Broden said the following,
I have studied and researched and come to the conclusion that there is a deliberate attempt by the liberal left and progressive movement to use the black community as a hammer against the system.
They have seduced the black community into supporting their agenda because they framed their agenda around issues important to us. They duped us and deceived us into supporting them. They used our black voting power to seize power in the Government and they make policies to advance their agenda. We were duped, deceived and manipulated into supporting them. They have NEVER supported our issues.
The Christian voice has been marginalized, negated, diminished and canceled. All the major institutions that influence us in America are controlled and influenced by Cultural Marxism (Media, Government, the Arts, Education, Corporations, the Family and the Church). Christians have been pushed out of the public square.
Of course, I do not believe that. We discussed this in the interview.
An enlightening conversation with a Critical Race Theory opponent, Dr. Tamzin Rosenwasser.
Dr. Tamzin Rosenwasser, an opponent of Critical Race Theory, engaged in a civil discussion that proved the debate’s distraction. What are your thoughts?
Dr. Tamzin Rosenwasser wrote an article on “Critical Race Theory” that I completely disagree with. But I wanted to have her on because it is the thing that our brothers and sisters on the Right are hearing. I think a civil conversation with opposing views allows folks one step removed to more easily make up their minds. In other words, I am sure stimulating critical thinking on this issue is helpful.
Who is Dr. Tamzin Rosenwasser
Dr. Tamzin Rosenwasser earned her MD from Washington University in St. Louis after putting herself through medical school. She is board-certified in Internal Medicine and also Dermatology and has practiced Emergency Medicine as well. Dr. Rosenwasser served as President of the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (AAPS) in 2007 and 2008. She has written numerous articles and opinion editorials and has been a guest on many media broadcast shows. She is currently writing a book on medical practice. She also serves as a member of the Research Advisory Committee of the Newfoundland Club of America. She currently serves as Treasurer of the Association of the American Physicians and Surgeons. As a life-long dog lover and trainer, she realizes that her dogs have better access to medical care and more medical privacy than she has. Her veterinarians are paid more than physicians in the United States for the same types of surgery.

Worthwhile Reads
The following three books, culminating in my latest, “How to Make America Utopia,” IMHO presents our economy, politics, and socialization in a context that frees us from the indoctrination inflicted on us from birth through our schools, churches, and media.
My books and/or your subscriptions allow us to keep telling the progressive narrative in a form the mainstream media cannot because they are funded by those they must somewhat appease. To effect change, people must be respected and informed truthfully & civilly.
Several of my books have AudioBook versions. Purchase all three as a bundle or singly here.
MSNBC Nicolle Wallace: GOP takes pro-death position & media must challenge their Pro-Life statements
Pundit Matthew Dowd, MSNBC Host Nicolle Wallace, and Professor Eddie Glaude Jr. were not kind as they described what the GOP has become.
This clip is important. The GOP has been given a pass for too long by allowing them to use the Pro-Life moniker. We need to refer to them as the pro-blastocyst/pro-death party. Actually, that is not hyperbole at all.
They are anti-abortion at all costs. In their pro-blastocyst stance, they pass laws allowing private citizens to spy on their neighbors and sue them if they believe they had an abortion.
They support the death penalty.
Republicans are against the Medicare Expansion to the Affordable Care Act that has caused the death of thousands of Americans.
They are against social policies that a family values party should support, family leave, and support for childcare stipend.
They do not believe in climate change and do not support policies to mitigate it.
Their false individualism and aversion to vaccines and masks have caused the deaths of many of their constituents and many of those they infect.
They do not support Medicare for All of any form,
Would you please listen to the entire clip? Let me know what you think.
Fareed Zakaria: The Republican Party has indulged its crazies for too long. Culminates with COVID.
Fareed Zakaria explains how the death and destruction caused by COVID are manufactured, given the otherwise lightning speed at which they developed the vaccine. And the GOP is responsible.
Fareed Zakaria was clear in his Washington Post article. The bottom line is that the Right-Wing and Republicans bear most of the blame for the deaths of over 600K Americans.
There is one striking thing that distinguishes this pandemic from all previous ones in history — the speed with which humankind came up with a vaccine. It is unprecedented and still breathtaking that, within months of the arrival of a novel virus, scientists were able to develop and test several vaccines that all proved to be highly effective at preventing serious illness. But what science has given, politics seems to be taking away. Despite having ample supplies of the vaccine, America is stuck with roughly 60 percent of the adult population fully vaccinated, ensuring that the pandemic will linger, perhaps forever. Given the tools to end this tragedy, we are choosing to live with it.
As the Economist points out, the anti-vax movement in America today is unprecedented. There have always been people who objected to vaccinations, but they were on the fringe, a smattering of naysayers. The price of these rejectionists was usually small — a few outbreaks of measles every now and then. This time, it’s different. In the midst of a raging pandemic that has killed 600,000 Americans, we’ve seen the rise of a vast right-wing conspiracy theory about the vaccines. It has been stoked by influential figures in the conservative media and tolerated, even encouraged, by powerful Republican politicians.
