Why is MAGA more successful promoting lies and bad policies than Progressives promoting the good?
Many believe MAGA is more successful in getting their message across because of the deep pockets of the Right Wing. There is much more to it.
I hope you all catch my Politics Done Right program live or via podcast/YouTube a few times a week and that you share it as well. It is one easy way to help expand the reach of our message and policies.
A few years ago, I got an email that shocked me as an established progressive writer and media host. Anyone googling my name or program immediately understands that I am as progressive as possible, support progressive policies, and promote progressive policies. They offered to fund me entirely if I shifted my platform to one promoting the Right. They saw value in that I would knock out several “identity” stones for them. Candace Owen was not always the Conservative she purports to be now. Being a conservative writer/blogger/media host is lucrative. You may have to sell your soul, but ultimately, your platform will have every penny it needs to promote MAGA indoctrination.
While funding on the Right has deep pockets from plutocrats, they still make sure to keep their followers engaged. Many plutocrats will fund Trump and other MAGA platforms, but they ensure the masses support them. Those $5, $10, $25, and $50 contributions that millions give to the Right are essential. Why? Those who contribute justifiably feel they are buying ownership of the movement. They are vested in its success.
Contrary to popular belief, billionaires like George Soros do not fund the real Progressive movement. They fund good organizations doing good work. The Right seeds the entire space in media, churches, civic organizations, bloggers, writers, social media engagement, and more. Progressive media struggle to get buy-in from those for whom they work.
My platform, “Politics Done Right,” is one of those underfunded progressive platforms. We work hard to correct the misinformation from the Right, polluting our brothers and sisters on the Right. Most importantly, we inform people about many issues they thought they knew about but get new critical perspectives that make a difference in our voting and the politicians we support and elect. We write articles on many platforms to ensure our messages are distributed widely. It is not easy, but no one said change is easy or fast.
We have over 8,400 subscribers to our newsletter. Of those, approximately 62 have become paid subscribers to invest in our work. To be very honest, we are currently at an unsustainable place unless our listeners/readers support us at a higher rate. We need at least 10% of our listeners/readers to support with the equivalent of a coffee. While most won’t miss that, on a cumulative basis, it allows us to continue and grow by ensuring the whole country gets access to truth. We want to remind everyone via our platforms that voting in their interest will save their fiscal and health well-being and the nation.
The other side has big donors as well as everyday citizens who invest heavily in platforms that lie and misinform. All we have is you. So, please invest in our media outlet by clicking the subscribe button below to become a paid subscriber. You won’t miss that coffee, but it will make a difference in our politics. All paid subscribers get to read my five books on this platform and all subsequent books I write. They will also be privy to subsequent incentives.
Thanks in advance for clicking the “Subscribe Now” button. You will feel good knowing that you are making a difference.
“The truth has no marketing department, no Superbowl ads, no sales team, no social media accounts, no campaign manager, no image consultants. I would submit that in the capitalist marketplace of ideas, the truth has become just another idea, and if no one is investing in getting its message out there, just for the sake of truth itself and not to serve any political actor's agenda, then the truth doesn't stand a chance.” -- Scott Feuless, The World of a Thousand Rivers
