Former VP Mike Pence’s press secretary Marc Lotter tried to defend JD Vance’s comments about childless women cat ladies. Donna Brazile did not let him get away with it.
I agree that the entire Democratic establishment has been complicit in stunting the path for more progressive candidates. Many are owned by the plutocrats as well. But we do not have the luxury to litigate the past. We can however do the work to form the future.
As an activist and host, I have the responsibility to make sure that I promote that which will make people survive in the short term but thrive long term. You and I (WE) are responsible for helping folks rid themselves of the mental chains. In the interim we have to work with what we got.
Egberto, I love your platform, your hard work, and your willingness to engage with differing personalities and points of view. I wish I had your patience; with regrets, I don't.
You say, "We don't have the luxury to litigate the past." Hey bro', if I were litigating Dem corruption, we'd be here all night! :-) I do think it's important to remind folks who the oligarch sockpuppets are, Brazile included.
Thank you for fulfilling your responsibility. That's important. I can't argue with what you say: "...we have to work with what we got." A painful truth, and dilemma.
Another example: Kamala Harris. She's what stands between Trump and the White House come November. At the same time, Harris is flatly part of America's Team Genocide. The blasted corpses of women, and children's amputated bodies, come to mind. How's that for a dilemma?
As an example, Progressive Democrats of America is navigating this agonizing dilemma by NOT endorsing Harris, but working like hell to GOTV on her behalf in the seven states deemed "swing states" — while not supporting her in all the states where voters essentially have no choice of president, thanks to gerrymandering and the Electoral College. PDA exec director Alan Minsky laid it out to 250+ supporters on a zoom this afternoon (Sun 28 Jul).
So let's get big money out of politics and un-rig our voting system, so everyone has a say. No more insane dilemmas like this one. I feel sure you and I agree on that!
Thanks for spotlighting Donna Brazile's rhetorical support for reproductive rights, economic justice, and true family values.
But how much credence should we give her assertions? Consider: Brazile has a documented history as a cheat and liar. https://www.cnn.com/2017/11/07/politics/donna-brazile-2016-primary/index.html
Brazile helped rig the 2016 Dem presidential primary election, aiding the corrupt Hillary Clinton campaign to unfairly defeat true progressive (and wildly popular) Bernie Sanders, https://bernieworks.weebly.com.
Bottom line: I see little difference between Brazile's moral turpitude and that of the Republican Party. IMHO, the rest is just entertainment.

Thanks for reading and commenting, brother,
